Piano teacher & professional musician based in Hampton Wick, Kingston.
John is a Hampton Wick-based piano teacher and professional musician with over 20 years of experience on both sides of the teaching studio and the concert stage. He holds a BMus (Hons) from Trinity College of Music, where he studied classical piano under Russian virtuoso Alexander Ardakov.
For over a decade he worked as one of London's most sought-after session keyboardists — recording at Abbey Road, touring America with Paolo Nutini, performing at Glastonbury, and appearing on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. His studio credits include Ed Sheeran's Divide and Paolo Nutini's Caustic Love.
He's DBS-cleared, has maintained a 100% ABRSM pass rate throughout his teaching career, and believes above all else that music should be enjoyed. His lessons are patient, flexible, and shaped entirely around each student. He teaches across all genres — classical, jazz, blues, ragtime, boogie woogie, pop and beyond.
